Coursera Training Program

Program Information

KIPP Forward NorCal and Accenture are delighted to re-introduce our comprehensive 12-month Training Program, designed to provide alumni with a unique opportunity to acquire 1 professional certification, enhancing their prospects for entry-level internships and careers within the tech industry. Typically, these certifications entail substantial expenses, however, our program offers them to participants free of charge.

Program Expectations

Participants will have the flexibility to pursue these trainings at their own pace, with the recommendation of dedicating a minimum of 10 hours per week to effectively complete the certification within the 12-month timeframe. To support their progress, all participants will be assigned a dedicated Program Manager, and bi-weekly meetings will be conducted for short progress check-ins.

Certifications Offered

• Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate Understand the importance of cybersecurity practices and their impact for organizations. Gain hands-on experience with Python, Linux, and SQL.
• Google Project Management Professional Certificate Acquire an immersive understanding of the best practices and essential skills essential for succeeding in an entry-level project management role. Learn the foundations of Agile project management, with a focus on implementing Scrum events, building Scrum artifacts, and understanding Scrum roles
• Google IT Support Learn to navigate essential systems, including Linux, Domain Name Systems, Command-Line Interface, and Binary Code. Learn to perform day-to-day IT support tasks including computer assembly, wireless networking, installing programs, and customer service.
• Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Professional Certificate Learn the fundamentals of digital marketing and e-commerce to gain the skills needed to land an entry-level job. Build e-commerce stores, analyze online performance, and grow customer loyalty.
• Google Data Analytics Cultivate essential analytical skills such as data cleaning, analysis, and visualization, utilizing vital tools like spreadsheets, SQL, R programming, and Tableau.

Eligibility

All KIPP Northern California alumni (12th grade completers) are welcome to apply! There is no postsecondary enrollment, major or GPA requirement. A resume is required to apply; click here to review resume resources.
