San Francisco

San Francisco State
The CSU inside the great city of San Francisco! The vibes, the energy, the tradition can all be found on this campus. Most of our KIPP Alums from the City & the East Bay attend this university. Our SF Team works closely with retention programs such as MetroEOP, and a new partnership with the Dream Resource Center to support our alums. We are continuing on making more connections on campus to best support y’all! Some majors to highlight are Africana Studies & Latina/o Studies! Go Gators! 



City College of San Francisco
The community college that our alums most attend due to the location of the campus. It is a great campus to achieve an Associate’s Degree, a Certificate Degree, or Transfer to a 4-year college. Most of our students that are looking to transfer from CCSF tend to attend SFSU! 


Skyline College  
Located in San Bruno, CA. Many students prefer the campus because of the smaller campus environment. At the campus, they offer many options for you to develop your career or if you are interested in transferring to a 4-year college. San Jose

San Jose State University
One of the best public universities is in our very own backyard! The majority of the alumni we support attend SJSU; there is a community waiting for you! With two advisors from the #SJTeam being SJSU Alumni, we are well equipped to provide you with knowledge about our existing partnerships on campus. The most recent partnership we’ve developed is with the department of Chicano and Chicana Studies

Our team and Braven are agreed upon partners! Braven helps you strengthen your skills to reach your career goals. You will have a leadership coach that will help you develop your network of professionals in the Bay Area!


Evergreen Valley College
Community college located near East San Jose. EVC is a great option for students who are pursuing a Certificate, Associate’s, or plan on transferring – the Nursing program is especially popular here! Many of our KIPP alums attend EVC because it is in the heart of San Jose. Given the proximity to popular areas of San Jose, it allows for students to comfortably commute from school to jobs and vice versa.

De Anza Community College
Community college based in Cupertino known for their robust transfer resources. If you are pursuing a Certificate, Associate’s, or plan on transferring, make sure to reach out to their team of advisors to have access to all important resources! De Anza’s most well-known program is their Nursing program. If you are interested in getting involved on campus or receiving support, contact their Office of Outreach!

San Jose City College
Located near downtown San Jose. They are most well-known for their Dental Assistant and Medical Assistant program. They also offer unique programs that other community colleges do not offer, such as Cosmetology!

UC Santa Cruz
Closest UC in proximity to the South Bay. Though not necessarily in the Bay Area, it is popular among our students because it is right near the beach and only a drive away from home! UCSC, home to Banana Slugs, offers competitive engineering and science majors.

East Bay

Cal State University East Bay
CSUEB is the nearest CSU to students who attended KIPP: Bayview and KIPP: King! At CSUEB, you will find a diverse campus that has many organizations to offer. For all clubs and organizations on campus, check out this page



Chabot College
Chabot College is a popular location many of the students we advise attend. If you are currently attending, or are interested in attending soon, please take a look at all the learning communities you can attend! Some organizations our students are a part of are Umoja and El Centro. Reach out to your KTC Advisor for guidance on what organization may be great for you! 



Mills College
A private liberal arts and science college right in your backyard! If this college is on your wishlist, ask your KTC Advisor about guidance in the transfer process. If you are currently attending Mills College, please take advantage of all their campus partnerships and career resources.
 



Peralta College (COA, BCC, Laney, Merritt

The Peralta Colleges make it easy for you to take courses at multiple locations as you are on your journey to reach your academic goal! If you are interested in attending any of these campuses for a certificate, degree, or to transfer, please reach out to your KTC Advisor!

De Anza Community College
De Anza is not only well-known for their transfer rates, they are also recognized for the various degrees and certificates they offer on their campus! For an extensive list of degrees and certificates, check here. If you are interested in learning more about these programs, we also suggest connecting with the Career Services Counselors. The counselors at De Anza can help you decide which career path is best for you, and help you create a plan to reach that goal!


City College of San Francisco
CCSF offers a strong Career Center that can help guide you to the career that is the best fit for you! There are many career communities offered on the campus, take a look here for all the options available to you. If you would like more guidance, you can also take this career survey!


Chabot College
Chabot College lists the degrees and certificate programs they offer on their campus on this page. They also have a Career Center that helps you build your resume and cover letter. Chabot also has their official job board, College Central Network!  



San Jose City College
San Jose City College has been recognized for a couple of  certificates and degrees sometimes not offered at other campuses. The best examples of this is their Esthetics Services program and Medical Assisting program.
