Radhika Sharma is a Bay Area native and a proud Indian-American woman (she/her). Radhika is the Postsecondary & Career Success Manager on the KIPP Forward Team. Radhika was born and raised in Vallejo, CA. Her family immigrated from Punjab, India to the U.S in the 80’s so she has had the beautiful opportunity to be raised bi-cultural and multilingual. She graduated from San Francisco State University and holds a degree in Business Marketing. Along with being a Business Professional, Radhika has spent her time as an Educator, Community Organizer and Activist for various causes. Radhika has practiced yoga for 7 years and is also a Certified Yoga Teacher and takes pride in leading mindful meditation, yoga, and holistic wellness classes and lifestyles. She enjoys hiking through the redwoods, driving along the coast, stargazing and listening to Jazz/Lo-fi music. She is passionate about investing in youth and providing an inclusive safe healing space for individuals and groups. Her core values are well-being, authenticity, courage and harmony. Radhika has worked in diverse job industries making her a well rounded individual with impeccable knowledge and skills!
Dorian Glover is a Career Integration Manager on the KIPP Forward Team. Dorian grew up in San Francisco, California and attended public schools in the SF area. From there Dorian completed his degree in ethnic studies from California State University, East Bay in 2012. Dorian worked in SF for 10+ years working with youth from middle school to high school level. In closing, Dorian’s hobbies are fishing, reading, playing basketball, and family time.
Jocelyn Nunez (she/her/hers) is a first generation Latina and proud daughter of Mexican immigrant parents. She was born and raised in a small town of Hollister, California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from Sacramento State University. Jocelyn understands the challenges that students encounter in pursuing a higher education and in life. She wants to support, empower, and motivate alumni to accomplish their postsecondary goals. Jocelyn’s hobbies include going to the gym, concerts, bailes, coffee, music and spending time with family and friends.
Audrey (she/her) earned her BA in Legal Studies and Literature at the beautiful campus of UCSC. It is at UCSC that she discovered her passion for supporting students’ success in and out of their academic fields. Audrey is dedicated to promoting student agency and advocacy to empower students to become leaders in their own right and achieve success in their pursuits. Before accepting the role of Postsecondary Success Advisor at KIPP, Audrey worked for EOP at UCSC in a variety of roles since 2019, the last of which was as an EOP STEM Counselor. She hopes to bring the experience and resourcefulness she honed during her time at EOP to support KIPP students in her new role.
A few fun facts about Audrey: She was born in Sonora, MX, and raised in SoCal’s San Fernando Valley before moving to San Jose in 2021! She has a 7-year-old doggy companion named Perseus (most often called Percy) and as is evident by her naming choices she is a huge fan of mythology.
Prior to KIPP Northern California, Diana Rubio-Olvera worked at SJSU where she held the position of Fraternity and Sorority Life Advisor for 4 years and then transitioned to the EOP Department where she served as an Academic Advisor for 3 years. She finds great passion in serving first generation students and enjoys lending a hand wherever she can to motivate students. Diana is a mom of 2 boys (ages 6 and 4) and enjoys spending time with them. Her hobbies are cooking, baking, jogging (now with a double stroller as her two boys come along for the ride), and shoe shopping.
Stephanie (she/her/hers) is a first-generation, bilingual, and proud Latina. She was born and raised in the heart of East San Jose. She was part of the founding class of KIPP San Jose Collegiate in ’12 She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Child and Adolescent Development from San José State University. Stephanie is currently attending Santa Clara University to receive her Masters in Counseling Psychology. As a Chicana/Latina (daughter of Mexican immigrant parents), Stephanie knows how challenging it may be to navigate your path after high school. She does this work because as students begin this new milestone in their lives she wants to ensure students are seen, heard, and supported as they pursue their career passion. Stephanie’s hobbies include camping, dance, & journaling.
Irv has been working in career development for over 5 years. In that time, he has picked up valuable experience in non profit organizations working with our most vulnerable communities from: early parents, to TAY incarceration population, to teens on the track to four year institutions. As well as using radical healing practices to navigate career exploration. In his role as a Career Advisor, Irv is responsible for connecting technical skills you learn in school to postsecondary careers in CTE, Apprenticeship, military, and workforce.
Born and raised in the City of Angels, Bianca is a Mexican-Puerto Rican woman who helps first-generation students pursue higher education. Her experiences as a first-generation student at UC Santa Cruz where she studied Politics and Sociology is what guided her into helping other first-generation students pursue higher education. Bianca received her master’s degree in Higher Education and Students Affairs program at USF, which has helped her strive to transform educational spaces, with an equity and social justice lens to improve educational access and outcomes for all students. Random fun fact, I am a dog momma to an awesome pupper named Kenobi.
Katy (she/her/hers) was born and raised in California and spent most of her childhood in San Luis Obispo. She attended Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego for college where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Child and Adolescent Development. After graduating from college, Katy went on to get her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo. Upon completing her teaching credential program, Katy taught elementary school in Daly City and then taught at KIPP Bayview Elementary where she lead the elementary art program. Katy now works as a KTC advisor and loves supporting KIPP alumni in their post high school journey. Katy is passionate about supporting students to find their true passions, taking the stigma away from mental health, and listening to others’ stories. In her first few years of college, Katy went through a lot of personal and family challenges; she aspires to be the supportive, caring person in her students lives as many others were for her in college. In her spare time, Katy enjoys baking, jogging, taking care of her plants, watching TV, reading, going to coffee shops, and eating. Her two latest obsessions are Tajin with pineapple and young adult novels.
