My name is David Flores (he/him), and I am thrilled to be joining the KIPP team as a Postsecondary & Success Advisor! For the past two and half years, I’ve been working in the college success field, and I am excited to support students on their journey toward academic and personal growth.
My passion for working with high school students began when I had the opportunity to work at San Domenico School, a Boarding School in Marin County. There, I had the privilege of engaging with students from all over the world, which helped me adapt, grow, and become a strong role model. Before joining KIPP, I worked for a non-profit scholarship organization based in Marin County called 10,00 Degrees. In this role, I supported a caseload of primarily first-generation college students based in Utah, guiding them through academic progress and scholarship requirement preparation and helping them navigate life after college. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Jose State University (Go Spartan!!) When I am not working, you can find me exploring new niche fragrances to expand my cologne collection, curating fire playlist on Spotify, and diving into video games
